Judge Mike Morgan has been a fighter for justice and equality his entire life. When he was in 5th grade in 1964, he became the first black student at Trent Park Elementary School in New Bern. As an eight-year-old he was one of five black students to integrate the New Bern public school system.
Judge Morgan is committed to protecting North Carolina’s families, schools, clean water and quality of life from big corporations and big polluters that want to stack the deck in their favor. He will fight against unfair gerrymandering and voter suppression laws that limit the political power of our communities, and he will protect every North Carolinian’s constitutional right to a high-quality public education. That’s why Morgan has been endorsed by the NC Association of Educators, the Democratic Party, the AFL-CIO and the Sierra Club.
Mike Morgan is one of six black candidates running for statewide office this year. Learn more about the sensational six and this historic opportunity for our community: at advancecarolina.org/six/
