Say NO to more concealed weapons in NC

Tell politicians in Raleigh to pull HB 1148 from the House calendar:

Yesterday we saw the deadliest shooting in U.S. history. Today the NC House will take up a bill that would dramatically loosen gun safety measures. The first bill on the NC House agenda tonight is, appallingly, a constitutional amendment that would allow almost anyone to carry a concealed weapon without a permit.

This is a disgusting way to respond to more than 50 innocent people being gunned down. I urge you to pull HB 1148 from the agenda and do not consider it for the rest of session.

Background

This is how our supposed “leaders” react to more than 50 innocent people being gunned down?!

Gov. McCrory said that he wanted to help Florida in any way possible. Putting more guns in more places won’t help at all. It will only make it more likely for similar tragedies to happen here.

Lawmakers ought to look for ways to craft sensible gun safety legislation that actually makes our communities safer. Instead they’re running in the other direction.
