Abortion in North Carolina is under attack. And we must stand up to protect OUR rights. Currently, there are several restrictive laws in North Carolina that create undue barriers for those seeking abortions. People should not have to jump through hoops to get abortions.

Several progressive groups have partnered with Representatives Fisher, Cunningham, Meyer and Richardson, and Senators Chaudhuri, Van Duyn and Bryant have introduced a bill prohibiting medically unnecessary restrictions on safe and legal abortion.

Do we need this bill? YES!

Last week, politicians in Raleigh announced a method ban that would make second-trimester abortions illegal-- further restricting abortion rights in North Carolina.
